To say what it is
That I want to say,
But instead I see
Your smiling face.
I try so very hard
To find a way
To put my feelings on paper,
Instead I just think of you,
And grin.
I want to write
Words that rhyme,
And phrases that
Will melt your heart,
But the thought of your smile
Just wipes them away.
So instead I write you
This poem that makes no sense,
Full of nonsense and gibberish,
And everyday sayings.
But at least I know youre smiling.
The best I can do is simply not enough, but I will always try for you.
